RFID remote control. Possible?
I recently invested in this shiny new lock: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/security/77af/
It uses a RFID card/keychain to move the deadbolt back and forth. When I'm watching Lost I do not want to get up and answer the door would it be possible to unlock the door via remote? I know how cards work; its a proximity thing where a code thats been programmed into the card but could that be access via remote? Kinda like a car door? My other not so techy method is to create a complex system of levees and and pulleys that would lower a card into the range of the lock and unlock the door. I know, all for the sake of not leaving the couch. Thanks, -b.

Sorry to threadcrap, but I don't have any ideas other than your pulley system.
Maybe you should have invested in a DVR instead. ![]() |
