PS2...problems reading DVD-ROM...
I cannot get my boy's PS2 to read DVD-ROMs anymore. It plays CDROM fine. I've tried 5 different DVD-ROM games, all of which worked the previous night.
I tried to read a 2-layer DVD (the Heston version of 'Planet of the Apes'). It loaded the menus but said something to the effect of 'cannot read' once I tried to play the movie. I'd guess the DVD-laser isn't shot. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks for your help!!! |

You might need to clean your PS2 laser lens. I had problems reading discs, and after I followed the instructions in the following guide, the PS2 works like a charm:
