Help: Can't view videos on Windows Media Player linked from Internet Explorer
For some reason I cannot view any Windows Media video files when I click on links using Internet Explorer...I click a link, the Windows Media Player pops up, and then I get this message.
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play." This makes no sense, especially since I can't even play videos linked on windowsmedia.com Is there some internet setting issue I'm missing out on here? I tried fiddling with it but I have no idea what the deal is. I don't have any problems with Real Video links, just Windows Media ones. This is problematic cause I can't watch trailers, sample videos, etc. If you have any tips or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks |

Do you have a firewall installed? Maybe it's blocking Windows Media from accessing the internet.
If you have a firewall, give Windows Media permission to connect to the web. |
