Besides Dell, where else (online) to buy a new CPU?
Ok, I've decided to replace my PC with a new one.
Besides Dell, what are some good online sources for a new computer? I'm mainly looking for a good deal on a somewhat customizable CPU. FWIW, I mostly use it to get online (I've got a cable modem), download and listen to music, mess around with my digital camera and possibly a digital camcorder at some point, and play games like Sims, etc. |

www.gateway.com
www.alienware.com alien is a little more expensive, and you probably won't need that type of system for what you are doing. I would probably go with Dell, and then Gateway second I guess. It's tough to beat their prices and customer service. I'm sure you'll find different opinions about Gateway and Dell, because different people have vastly different experiences with them. |

I would say just to stick with Dell if you aren't inclined to really customizing your comp with parts from sites like www.mwave.com or www.newegg.com

I bought two computers (and soon a third) from avapc.com they have a configurator and select what you want in it and they build, test and then ship it to you. They've been great to me.
