WANTED: Inexpensive Motherboard that supports P 3 533mhz & up
Hey gang. I'm needing a really inexpensive decent motherboard for my parents system. I'm not looking to dish out a lot of do-ra-me for this thing. I've even considered upgrading my own pc and giving them my 1.2ghz. Bad thing is they only use this thing for solitare and it's not even on the net.
anywhoooo.. I'd like at least 5 PCI slots and of course an AGP. There current processer is a Pentium III 533. No, it's not a celeron, they did make the P3 533. Currently the system does not post video and it beeps. We have replaced the cmos battery and reseated everything. Same result. I'm willing to pay for an inexpensive board to get them off my back. Please help? Thanks in advance. ![]() -Christina

Hmm, I have a celeron 533mhz chip that I swapped out a PIII450mhz on my computer, how ironic. |

We have confirmed. It is DEFINATELY the motherboard. After changing out the video card, memory, and taking out all other pci cards it still beeps and gives no video.
I'll look into those board. Thanks! -TC
