Question about Raiser's Edge database
Our organization just switched over to Raiser's Edge 7 and information is sent to us in an excel file to be inserted into RE. The problem we're coming across is you can't just insert the info... it's got to be typed in manually... one by one each constituent id has to be typed in and it's becoming tedious.
Basically, is there a good spreadsheet program that will automatically insert it's information into RE without having to type each member in individually? We're losing a lot of time going between xls, RE, back to xls, then to word simply to print up letters that are mailed out. I don't know if I'm explaining it well so please ask as many questions and I'll try to cover everything. Thanks!

maybe this will help a little:
http://www.virtualdevelopment.net/raisers_edge_tip.htm from what i've read, you can't cut and paste. you have to do an import into the software from excel. http://www.blackbaud.com/login.asp?f...cometore%2Easp you have to sign in to view it. looks like you can export and import both ways. neato. cranky.
