That day when your wife tells you that you need to remove the stack of unopened Blu Rays on your desk and you figure "What the Hell, might as well open them up and redeem the UV codes" :

* Yes, I really just redeemed all of those -- plus Bedknobs & Broomsticks which didn't even fit in the screencap.

that's nothing. last summer i did most of my collection with codes i never used. went through every bluray i own, a few at a time, and did like 1,000. it was painstaking, but oh so worth it in retrospect. true story...

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

That picture I posted above reminded me of something I've noticed recently : Almost everything is community-rated between a little less than to a little more than . It's the same in the PSN and in the Xbox Store. If you see something with a or even a rating it has to be either dreck or very divisive (or maybe not -- even Ghostbusters : Answer The Call is 4 star rated).
There has to be some sort of sociological explanation about why everyone seems to collectively rate every movie around the mark, but I have no idea what that is.

I've been thinking about this too.

I rate a majority of my movies 4 stars. That means that I enjoyed the movie. If I was disappointed, my rating drops to 3.5 - 3 stars. I rarely rate below that unless the movie is absolute crap. For a movie to get 4.5 stars, it has to really exceed my expectations, and a 5 star movie is a perfect film.

I think the reason most of my movies are 4 stars is because I choose to watch films I'll enjoy, and I know what to expect going into it. I've watched the trailer and read some reviews, so I'm usually not disappointed or surprised. I tend to avoid movies that I know are going to disappoint me, so I don't watch many that will rate 3.5 or lower.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

i just had to get it digital, eventhough i have literally every incarnation of this movie, from DVD to 3D. it's probably my 2nd favorite movie of all-time. to have the ease of putting this in Vudu was the basis for decision. i just love every thing TLK. even saw the Broadway show 3 times. Amazeballs!

The 3D version already came with a digital copy. I own it :

And it already streams on Vudu through DMA

I didn't get the barrel set (or even know what that is) but I don't have the new one either. I own the 3D release from around 2011 and the DMR code in it unlocked the digital copy when DMA went live.

this was the set that had LK 1.5 (frankly, only vaguely familiar with what this cuts all about), never saw, Simba's Pride (part 2), and DVD copies. i don't know when it came out, but i did enjoy Simba's Pride, so this was a no brainer with 3D.

does your Vudu copy include the extras? because there are 2 versions. if you redeemed awhile ago you may have just gotten the movie.

this is movie only:

this is newer edition with about 30 Vudu extras:

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

Yeah, no extras. But your previous version should have come with the Vudu copy of the original movie since DMA came to Vudu. Your version came out the same time as mine and must have at least included the movie in Digital HD.

Re: Last digital movie you bought or redeemed?

you know, you could be right and frankly, i wasn't into digital and/or knew what Vudu could bring to ease my life (or know what the hell Vudu was and how easy it was) then and could have very well tossed it. either way, i want to see those extras, because like i said, i love every thing LK...
