Anyone streaming telenovelas?
Watched some when I was a kid in Venezuela but never got into American soap operas when I moved in 1990. Never followed up on the Hispanic channels because of very limited programming when it came to that.
Now that Hulu and Netflix are in a race to be the best telenovela provider, what are some good ones?
Senora Acero and La Usurpadora caught my eye on Netflix. I did find the descriptions for Senora Acera's episodes hilarious

Slightly off topic, because it's not a telenovela. But you might want to check it out.
One of my favorite shows was the HBO Latin America thriller Epitafios. It's a 13-episode series about some screwed-up cops trying to stop a mysterious serial killer. It's brutal and keeps you on the edge of your seat like Silence of the Lambs and Seven. If you have HBOGo or HBO Now, check it out.

Re: Anyone streaming telenovelas?
My free trial ends 8/31 and I wasn't planning on renewing because I have a backlog of stuff to watch. I finish GOT 1-5 today and I don't know if 5 days is enough, that's over 2 hours a day. I COULD just pay the $12 and just take my time watching it but I wanted to hold on to the money to binge watch GOT 6 although I may pay it when GOT 6 restarts and watch it live with everyone else. Decisions decisions.... (I got $225 of iTunes giftcards for $180, so $12 a month for 15 months).

If you want to stream all of the current Mexican telenovelas from Televisa, Hulu is the way to go and they still carry some of the older ones too that Netflix doesn't have.
Netflix seems to carry older Televisa novelas while carrying newer Telemundo ones. Señora Acero and Dueñas del Paraíso seems to attest to that.
Mind you, this only works if you are into Mexican telenovelas. Not too many Colombian or Venezuelan novelas are shown on Hulu and Netflix.
