Streaming iTunes question
I'm looking for something to help my stream my iTunes wirelessly - from my desktop in my office - through my main AV receiver located in my family room.
I have a Roku, and I've tried Plex - couldn't get it to work at all - and Logitech Media Server - got it working but it seems kind of clunky/buggy and the audio quality is simply fair.
I was looking at something like G-Box Midnight MX2 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Dual Core XBMC Streaming Mini HTPC TV Box Player and was wondering if that would do what I want.
Is the G-Box the way to go?
Would love any suggestions....

Any reason why you're not getting an AppleTV?

Regardless, I think you'll run into issues with the Apple DRM. This is the main reason I refuse to purchase anything through Apple.

Maybe a Sonos SonLink and Connect? I had success simply connecting a Sonos Bridge to my computer and streaming it to a Sonos speaker, but my wife and mother-in-law got me the SonLink and Connect for sending my computer audio files to my main home-theater system. I haven't hooked it up yet, though.

You want to look for AirPlay software and/or hardware. This should get you started:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPlay
Since he's only talking audio, that's not an issue, since all music has been DRM-free on iTunes since 2008.

I got Plex working - finally.
Now I have to see if there's a way to import iTunes playlists, though it appears not to be an option....
