I went with the 10.99 a month. I don't like paying the money all up front.
They should have a separate website away from Amazon.com. It's too confusing. I might be buying stuff without knowing it.
It's evident that they,Netflix and Hulu need a lot of work on showing their available programming because it's a sea of web pages and if you don't know what you're looking for it's going too take age's too find something too watch.

Or are you talking about Prime streaming specifically?I'm sure Amazon likes having their paid videos mixing with their free stuff so customers have the option of buying/renting if they really want to watch it. I think I prefer knowing it's there so I can add it to my watchlist in case if flips to Prime later, rather than Netflix just telling me it doesn't exist.
I tend to watch Prime on consoles, and the browsing experience there is decent. It could always be better, of course.

Here’s the latest sign of Amazon’s eagerness to make subscription streaming services a big part of its retail offerings. It just agreed to offer Amazon Prime customers the opportunity to use their accounts to buy Seeso, NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises’ $3.99 a month ad-free comedy service.
The video provider will be available via Amazon “this Spring,” the companies say. Subscribers will be able to access Seeso’s library online and via the Amazon Video app for TVs, streaming media players, and mobile devices.
As you’d expect, it will work with Amazon’s Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire tablets.
NBCU launched Seeso in January, offering subscriptions directly.
Amazon Video Channels’ Director of Content Acquisition Rich Au says that “the way people watch TV is changing, and customers want easier access to their favorite shows, regardless of device or subscription.”

Prime should have a different site from Amazon? Or are you talking about Prime streaming specifically?
I'm sure Amazon likes having their paid videos mixing with their free stuff so customers have the option of buying/renting if they really want to watch it. I find it MUCH easier to search for stuff on their website and throw it my watchlist. On the website, it is easy to limit to Prime Only, or include things from Instant Video (the rent/buy items). The search options on my Tivo, Roku, and FireStick are each fairly clumsy compared to website.

You can prevent unwanted purchases at Amazon Video by setting up a PIN number.

I'm guessing a few things are behind this move in the long run. Almost everyone is beginning to see the end of the traditional cable model for television. People will still demand content after they cut the cord and Amazon with its brand likely wants to be known as a streaming provider of first resort.

Amazon, Department, Digital Video, Included with Prime.
If you go to a show/movie that's included with Prime, the button will say Watch Now. Otherwise it will show a purchase option. Just log in to Amazon first. I've never purchased anything by mistake and I've had Prime since it first started.

I just signed up for a free month of Prime and watched the Pilot of Red Oaks. I really liked it. I have an older model roku and it is not showing a lot of shows for me to choose from on the prime video section. It took me awhile to find Red Oaks on it. Can anyone recommend some good Prime shows?

It seems to me so far that Prime has a much more limited selection than Netflix and Hulu.

Yes, top row, right after the "ad" icon. I agree it is easier and faster to look for stuff on PC and throw to watchlist. When you click the watchlist icon , it opens the watchlist (I think organized into tv and movies), and you can pick and watch in any order.

Taking Chance
The story of a Marine Officer who escorts the body of a fallen Marine, Chance Phelps, back to his hometown for burial.
Kevin Bacon plays the lead.
Very somber movie and one I enjoyed immensely.
