I don't know if this price change has taken effect yet. So if you've got some BD conversions waiting, you better do them before the price increase
Not surprising. It was way too good to last. I'm slowly adding to it, but I'm sure that by the time I get to my next set, they'll have changed over. A huge disappointment, but not at all unexpected. I'm sure that now that they've lured enough people in, it was inevitable. I bet that's what the transition out of Beta will bring.

They have added some extras to a few older releases, albeit piecemeal. They have the huge-ass documentaries on The Hobbit films. Wish they did for LOTR too. I have one movie that has a commentary, but I assume that's harder for them, so I imagine that won't be happening too often.

MGM seem to be finicky even about Ultraviolet.

It's already been debunked as an error. No price increase at the moment.

That whole mess reminded me of all of the doom and gloom talk when the "Convert 10, get 50% Off" used to have an end date on it that would keep getting extended. Every single time, the Vudu forums would be full of people claiming that THIS IS THE END, and every time it was extended again.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

They added the big giant documentaries on The Hobbit movies as extras. Really cool. They've been adding some
Here and there to various releases, though I wish they weren't missing commentaries and some piecemeal extras, it's a step in the right direction. If only they'd add the docs to the LOTR movies too.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Thought I'd throw this in here.
So, one thing led to another and I realized I never redeemed my digital code for Watchmen Ultimate Cut blu-ray. I dug it out, and it was one of those digital copy discs that launched iTunes and and you enter the code there. Well, the only computer with a cd drive was my pc and it needed iTunes updated. So while I waited I figured I'd try the code in VUDU, and it took it! Redeemed for HDX. And, the code insert said it expired in 2010.
I had redeemed the (theatrical) code with the director's cut in iTunes previously but VUDU also took that one!
Don't know if it's a Warner thing or what. I might try to go through some more I have on iTunes only and see if VUDU takes them.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Most codes with an old expiration date will still work. I did the same thing as you about 3 years ago and redeemed a ton of codes that were still in my blu ray cases. All of them still worked and most were expired.

Yeah, I redeemed breaking bad and I think it expired. Didn't even knew it came with digital code for entire series. That was a nice find years later and when I got into the whole Vudu thing...

I've had the same problem with desktop for weeks...my mobile is fine (I just purchased Skin Trade from the sale on my phone). But I can't even login (through any browser) on my desktop puter. I might also go snag Imperium, but I might be able to get a code cheaper somewhere for that one (where as Skin Trade is not a UV nor D2D).

It's an "enhanced" version of Vudu Extras on select titles:
http://blog.vudu.com/?p=10276
http://blog.vudu.com/?p=10895

Here's a list of titles:
http://www.vudu.com/movies/#featured/6096/Extras-Plus

I tested 21 Jump Street on the site, and it worked for me. It opens in a new tab, so you may have to enabling the opening of new tabs for the site in your browser.

I don't know what TV app you have, but I can't access the 21 Jump Street extras from my Xbox One app.

I just mean the regular Vudu program on tv. Maybe app is the wrong word...

No, app is fine, but the app is going to vary based on what brand/model TV you own. There isn't a single "app" that all the TVs use.

Most of the extras show up on my TV's app- just checked 21 Jump Street and it didn't have any extras though. 22 Jump Street has a featurette (traded other movie codes for both of those.)

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

One thing about those bundles that are annoying (at least with a previous bundle that I purchased) is that the movies aren't individually added to your movie collection. Rather there is something called "Bundle" and you have to click on it to see a scroll list of all of the movies in that bundle. There will be no way that I'll remember what the movies were in that bundle (or future bundles) without having to click each one or try to make out the small images or print on the thumbnail. But it is a great deal.

I bought those bundles with Xbox credits, and they appear in my collection as individual movies, and there's really no sign of the bundles at all (just as well, because they're useless), and that's how it's been with previous Xbox bundles. It could just be that Vudu works things differently.

I'm confused, did you buy them in Vudu on the Xbox, or did you buy them in the Xbox Store?

Vudu does list collections as a single "title" if you buy them from them. I got a Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 collection via Walmart Instawatch, and when scrolling through my titles it shows up as "Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2" with a generic image:

When selecting that "title," it then shows the two individual movies to select from. It's not too bad in that case, since the movies are related and even the same name, but it'd be a pain if I owned one of those Lionsgate ones with a nonedescript collection name and somewhat random assortment of titles.

Also, it shows up both on the website and on the Xbox One app like that.
