Walmart's large Marketside pizzas come with $5 Vudu codes now too, just as an FYI. The pizzas are surprisingly good, not on par with Papa Murphy's, but not too far behind for take and bake.

Disney are allowing the movies to be purchased, but not D2D? That weird.

Vudu/DMA linking is now active. FYI, it seems like the movies don't transfer over immediately, and take a few minutes at least.

If you connect your Vudu account with your current or (create a) new Disney Movies Anywhere account, you get a free copy of Wreck-it Ralph. Unlike other promotions, you get the movie in HDX and not SD.

I just tried connecting my accounts, and now I'm stuck in an infinity loop between the Disney and Vudu websites as they keep bouncing me back and forth, trying to connect. Pretty awesome technology.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Yes, I pressed the power button on my monitor about 10 times. I even unplugged my mouse for a while so it'd cool down.

Sometimes too much air gets in the keyboard and cause the keys to stick; so turn it upside down for awhile so it'll leak out.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

It's finally working. Took about 24 hours before the Disney movies showed up in my Vudu account. I'm happy to discover that several of the movies that I only owned SD versions now show up in HDX.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

There's a whole bunch of Cyber Week sales. Titles are $9.96, $7.99, $5.99 and $4.99.

http://www.vudu.com/movies/#uiPage/80

I already had most of them. But these two have been on my Wishlist for a while, so I grabbed them:

Memento - $4.99
Good Will Hunting (15th Anniversary Bundle) - $4.99

Food Network Thanksgiving: Season 1 is currently $0.99 (HDX).

It's 13 episodes of Thanksgiving shows. There's a couple Iron Chef episodes, some Bobby Flay Throwdowns, Chopped, Alton Brown, Guy Fieri, etc.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

New interface showed up on my Roku 1 yesterday. Have mixed feelings about it, there's a neat movie-recommendation feature where you can pick a few things you're in the mood for such as decade, genre and mood. The overall interface is awkward compared to the older one though and will take some getting used to. It's still better than most of the other movie services, the main thing I've liked about it is the headshots of cast and crew which are still there.

One thing I DON'T like, and have already submitted a complaint about, is if you have any complete TV seasons and select an episode, it will auto-play the next episode and show a countdown clock with "Coming up Next..." on the side of the screen during the last few seconds. It doesn't seem timed to the start of the end credits (which would be REALLY annoying) but still cuts the last couple seconds off, and as an obsessive viewer that's just unacceptable. (I already hate the display that stays on for the first few seconds on anything you watch on Vudu, but there's always been a button to make it go away so I hit that as soon as anything starts. If that were forced, I likely wouldn't even rent any movies on it.) The 4th season of Bob's Burgers that was given away free a few weeks ago has previews for other shows at the end of each episode, and those are getting cut off mid-sentence.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

They have a few more free episodes of HBO shows up now too, including The Sopranos if you missed it the last few times they had that. Since they got rid of the "Free Collection" these have been harder to find, but look under HBO and click on every show to see if it's got a free episode. Only new one for me this time was The Pacific.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

If I buy Modern Family S6 from Vudu (as it appears there will be no more blu-ray releases after season 4) for $19.99, will the episodes that haven't aired just populate into my account each week automatically? I've never purchased a television season that hasn't already aired and Modern Family has only aired 8 episodes this season.

Thanks.

Yes. When you buy a Season Pass, the new episodes will appear the day after they air on TV.

Does VUDU offer season pass pricing for currently airing TV shows?

For our new and returning TV series this fall, VUDU is providing the option to purchase a currently airing season before the season is completed.

When you purchase one of these seasons, new episodes will typically appear the day after they air on network TV.

If you purchase a season before the series begins airing, you can initially expect an 'empty' season. Don't worry. The season will fill up soon; at the same rate those episodes air on network TV.

After you purchase the season, you wont have to pay for each episode as it becomes available because you'll already own them. Purchasing currently airing TV series makes sure you never miss an episode!

Thank you...sucks they aren't releasing blu-ray seasons of this, but I guess $20 for HDX seasons is better than nothing.

I'm sure there will be a series box set when it finishes, I can't believe it's already on Season 6.

Re: The VUDU Thread - News, Bargains & UV Codes

Always wondered what happens if you buy a "Season Pass" for a show and it ends up getting cancelled after just a few episodes.

Anyways, they have the first episode of Band of Brothers free again today. Heard they had it just for a few days last year and I missed it, so glad to grab it now. The daily 99-cent movie rental seems to be MIA today.

I wouldn't count on it with the way Fox has abandoned so much tv on Blu.

Justified: Season 5 is FREE at the Sony Pictures Store. It's UV, so it should transfer over to Vudu.
