Started to watch Man of Tai Chi,but it seems the movie only has closed captioning for the English being spoken nothing for the Cantonese/Mandarin,that I do not understand.

I'm almost sure it is Netflix problem, and not my Roku player.
As I heard of Netflix has a lot of problems with their CC/subs.

Many of the TV show I watch, the CC ends about 5 minutes before the show ends or it gets out of sync.Kind of sucks.

Bunch of movies expired last night, but they've added the series Bates Motel today. Watched the first episode for free on Vudu a few months ago, just need to find time to watch the rest now.

If your equipment supports it, at least- neither my 3D TV nor 3D Blu-Ray player do. I have the 3D Blu-Ray of The Croods anyways.

Thanks for The Man of Tai Chi recommendation, watched it just because of the mention in this thread and LOVED IT! It's like the martial arts movies that I loved as a child, totally took me back, the choreography just feels different.

There were two subtitle options, one for the non-English portions and one for CC, maybe only one of yours was turned on? I had CC for everything.

with 'House Of Cards' season 2 coming up next week, I was pelased to read that it will also run for a 3rd season. Kinda surprised at that because from what I had read they were set on it just been a 2 season show, but hey, I'm not complaining

Vincenzo Natali's (Cube) latest movie Haunter has been added. It has some good parts but runs far too long, stars Abigail Breslin.

The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec from Luc Besson is now streaming on Netflix. It has the original French audio with English subs.

Not sure how long it's been on there, but I noticed that Day of the Dead (1985) is available.

Here's a comparison of the two cuts. It's about a 2 minute difference. The majority of it is a topless bathtub scene.

http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=987275

It looks like Netflix has the PG version. I scanned ahead to that scene, and it's missing.

Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

Yeah, unfortunately Netflix deals with US companies generally, so they end up with the US cuts.

Brian DePalma's Passion (with Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace) was put up today. Skip the trailer if you plan to watch it.

And of course, House of Cards: Season 2.

It's not new, but anime fans should check out Welcome To The NHK if you want something off the beaten path. The story concerns an isolated loner struggling to break out of it.

It appears seasons 3&5 of the original Twilight Zone are back. Apparently they just aren't interested in season 4. I wish they'd put the Jeremy Brett Holmes stuff back up.

Crossing Lines, the Euro show that aired on NBC last summer, was posted.

It got picked up for a 2nd season, but NBC hasn't ordered it.
