Where's the best place to have discs refurbished in the upstate NY area?

Anyone know where I can get a stack of DVD's professionally refurbished? There are a few with some deep scratches, many OOP/rare titles so I would like to have them fixed.

FYI, I take very good care of my DVDs but the rest of the family treat them like coasters sometime. I would prefer some place local in the upstate New York area if possible. Also prices, if known, will be appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry but I have no idea who does that in our area.

You just stated the reason why I do NOT let anybody borrow CDs/DVDS/Blu-rays!

Thanks anyway. I took a couple discs to a local FYE store, since they "buy" DVDs/CDs but they wouldn't buffer them for me.

I used to take discs to Hollywood Video, where they only charged $0.50-1.00 depending on how severe the scratches were. Now that they've gone out of business, and not knowing of any other stores that rent/buy/sell DVDs I'm completely at a loss.

I've seen disc repar machines on line for about $30. If buffing discs continues to be a need for you and you can't find anyone to do it locally, you might want to consider this option.

BTW, when you say upstate NY, where do you mean? I've heard that term to just about all areas outside NYC: Albany, Buffalo, Binghamton, Rochester...

I do not recommend the "do it yourself" machines.

Look up used record/cd/DVD stores. In Phoenix, we have Zia Records.
