DVD shopping in Mexico
this is my first trip out of the US and Id really like to get some dvds to bring back. Are there certain things I need to look for? Like certain shops or different regions?
This is the hotel I'm staying at. http://www.iberostar.com/EN/Riviera-...ment_5039.html

Re: DVD shopping in Mexico
Mexican Dvd's? Never heard of anyone going to Mexico to buy Dvd's. I guess it would be interesting to see what they had and the prices. Like if there was a Walmart and if they had a cheap bin or what Criterions go for there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mexico DVDs come with a free "plantilla" aka taco shell inside the case.

Re: DVD shopping in Mexico
I believe Mexican DVDs would be region 1, however you'll probably want to watch out for any vendors that aren't a reputable B&M store.

Mexico DVD's are region 4, but you can find several region 0 too.
You can get some of the Luis Bunuel films made in Mexico that are not available in DVD in the US for cheap. |

Don't be dissing Mexico - they already have 3D blu-rays of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, When Harry Met Sally, and Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke.

Re: DVD shopping in Mexico
Do you know what the word nada means?
In all those Mexican movies you made... did you ever hear that word? Isn't that a light chicken gravy? It means "nothing"! Zero! Zip! It's what you're gonna have when I'm through with you!

I have an odd question ... in Mexico is it pronounced dee-vee-dee or is it day-vay-day?
