Odd random recommendations from Amazon.com

I've been shopping for Dr. Who DVDs on amazon.com recently yet it took me a minute to figure out why this was showing up in my quick picks..

Really? Because I bought some Dr. Who DVDs from them this is now a quick pick? I've had some recommendations from them before that really didn't seem to be what I wanted, but this is the farthest from what I was buying from them that I can think of.

I ordered the Transformers 2 Jablonsky soundtrack from Amazon on release date and about 1.5 months later, I received an Amazon email recommending that I buy that exact same soundtrack.

That is odd, but not nearly as odd as some of the "What people who bought this have also purchased" items I've seen.

I was looking for some slippers shaped like bear claws (gag gift for a friend), and in the "people also bought" section was crotchless french knickers.
