This is exactly what I say to people who download their music illegally. I don't mean to start a tangent, but how many are people piling on the OP for stealing that do the same in other areas of their life I wonder? People can legitimize any action to themselves if they really want to.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" does not mean that only people who are perfectly pure can pass judgment on others. It just means that the punishment should fit the crime. The crime was committed. If the judge has also committed a crime, that doesn't excuse the first.

Drove by Home Town Buffet today. Is it cool if I bring my plate in and load up? I don't want to pay or anything like that.

What I recommend is this. Go in when it is really busy. Grab a plate of food and wait until a table leaves to go get seconds. Sit in their booth and eat fast. When you see them start to head back, get up and wander the food area again. Repeat until full. If you start to get looks, strike up conversations with random people, that way, it will look like you belong.

dont take it personally lovgun. this thread is no longer about you or gizmo or anyone else. it has taken on its own life and will live forever in dvdtalk history, transcending time and space. it will be reverently remembered as "that icee thread" and it will be smiled upon. some of us may even reference getting a refill of ________ and others will lol.

hopefully, some of us will still be around in years to come, and we will all have forgotten what the original point was. i am just glad i am here now to partake of its existence

This is very flawed logic. Taking the plate with you when you leave is *CLEARLY* stealing, while returning every week to eat the food isn't.
