I guess now we know why their site crashed - the "new look" probably had a bug or two that needed to be worked out. Maybe they could have done that over the weekend, rather than Monday, so that it wouldn't have affected so many accounts, and cost them 5% of many people's monthly fee (I received the e-mail, had a couple titles delayed).

A friend of mine on LiveJournal mentioned that he received an e-mail giving him 10% off for the outage. Mine's only good for 5% so I'm calling now to find out why.

The Netflix rep told me that people got increments of 5% off depending on how many days their movies were delayed. So, the 10% off means nothing shipped on Monday or Tuesday.

Agreed... why on earth would they develop a "new" interface that is less usable than the old one

5% here. Looks like only my Monday was affected. Even without the delay, they've been pretty slow lately.

I save a whopping $2.37. Honestly, I'd have preferred a bonus rental.

They changed the look of the queue page. It looks like you can't select between formats now.?.?

Is anyone else not receiving emails from them? I've had three DVD's shipped since the site was down and haven't gotten a single shipping notification.

It obviously is because the "Format Preferences" for HD titles is still located on the Account page.

EDIT for those too frustrated to read the blog:

Note for HD/Blu-ray enabled users: there's a bug and the format column isn't showing - this will be fixed in the next few days. We're also working on another bug that is causing some of you to not see recommendations or predicted ratings.
