I've been having the same slow turnaround, waiting for titles to ship the "next day".
It's po'ed me so much I've sent them a disgruntled e-mail.
We'll see if it does me any good.
I loved the service up until about 2 months ago.

i got 28 DVDs during my first month, including the free 2 week trial, on the 3 out program. i consider that pretty good. most DVDs would be received or checked in the day after i mailed it. there were a few "it will be shipped tomorrow" especially towards the tail end of the billing period but overall im satisfied with the service.

Turnaround time has greatly improved for me in the past couple weeks. I still have "Long Wait" on plenty of new releases though, some of which are not so "new" any more (Friday Night Lights).

I thought I had a system, mail back movies on Thursday, they receive them over the weekend and send out new releases on Monday, I receive them on Tuesday, and repeat. Last week though I sent back the movies on Thursday, they checked them in on Friday, and I received replacements on Saturday. So I no Tae Guk Gi or Raise Your Voice for me this week.

Yeah. My service seems to be restored back to its normal goodness. Though I've noticed that whenever I get a Friends disc for my sister, the turnaraound's really slow. So I think I might want to refrain from getting those anymore.

My service has gotten better, though it's not to where it was earlier on. I will get delays on Mondays and Tuesdays, but anything after that during the week, they'll ship the discs without delay.

My service has been better of late as well. I don't tend to order the new tuesday releases, the exception being older catalog titles getting a first time release, so I've had very few waiting periods.

I've gotten mixed performance so far. I never got a reply to me email and while I'm consistantly getting new releases now everything is still being delayed a day (I can't remember the last time a disk shipped out the same day a return was received)

For your sister, right....

I'm just kidding. I could not help myself. My service has rebounded as well, since the complaints. I sent three back yesterday, and they were received this morning. Not sure if all three will be sent today or not, but at least they have them.

Netflix received in three discs this morning but they list my next three discs as "Shipping Wednesday".

I can't remember the last time they shipped me a disc the same day one was returned.

Welp, I've been on Blockbuster for nearly two months and really happy to be over my negative Netflix experiences. I still get my (2) free in-store coupons each month for those compulsive, erratic moods and I pay nearly $3 less than Netflix with a satisfying selection and pretty decent ship/return communication.

I will admit to missing Netflix's user-centric website - lengthy reviews, release dates etc. but eh, for what I'm sacrificing, I'm happy with.

.....and this is ALL coming from a hardcore anti-Blockbuster guy just 4 months ago....

Same here. They check in on a Monday and ship on a tuesday, that kind of thing- they don't tend to ship the next disc on the same day, even if I get an e-mail at 8am telling me a title has been received. Still, I can't complain as I'm getting one cycle a week and that's enough to make it worth the money for me.

They're pretending to not receive discs again. They have a distro center in my town and always used to get discs the day after I sent them. Now they're waiting a day to check them in. It's really getting annoying.

Three-business-day turnaround for me. Consistently. I had to cut my subscription back to three from five, because I was spending too much time in front of the tube.

Ever *Accidentally* tear the envelope on it's side and had to wait...And wait...For your next rental to arrive so you can finally return your old rental in a new envelope?

I was praying that I would recieve a new rental today so that I can get rid of the one I got last Friday, but it looks like I'll have to wait til (HOPEFULLY) tomorrow for it to arrive. What really makes it worse is if it's a movie that you just didn't care for!

A: If you misplaced one of our prepaid return mailers, you can mail up to two DVDs back in the same package.

My Netflix service has been good for the past few weeks. It's back to the way it usually is.

I have been reading this thread for a while and it seems like some people's service is improving as of late. Mine hasn't and I guarantee it's problems with the distribution center. When they send one to me, I get it in 1-2 days. If I send one to them, it takes 3-5 days for it to show up. My wife works for the post office and she says the ship-to time should be the same as the ship-back time (which is common sense if you think about it). The bastards....

For me, it just depends what mailbox I mail it from. If I place 1 movie in my apt. complex mailbox on Wednesday and another in a big "blue" mailbox on Thursday, the one from the blue mailbox will arrive at Netflix on Friday, and the one shipped from my apt. complex will arrive on Monday/Tuesday of the following week. I'm beginning to suspect my mail carrier of "borrowing" the dvds for the weekend and then returning them.

I have noticed a slower turn around lately but something else troubles me. Lately I’ve mainly been using Netflix to rent TV series (they are usually too expensive to buy and have almost no re-watchability factor for me). The last three series I ordered got sent in the wrong order. In my queue they are in the proper order and it even lists them as shipping in order (an example: Bullsh*t! Season 1 disc 1 shipped March 8, disc 2 March 9, and disc 3 March 10. I received disc 2 on March 11 and disc 3 on today. I have not received disc 1 yet). This is the third time this has happened in the last 30 days. Since I don’t want to watch the series out of order I have to wait on turning around the discs until I get the first disc. At a heavy renter (about 17 a month) this has drastically slowed down my renting. I am seriously thinking this is intentional.. If things don’t change I may jump ship to BB.

My service has been fairly decent lately. I've actually upgraded my account one tier in order to catch up on my list quicker. Even if the service is slow at times it's still easier than renting locally and it way cheaper than buying all this stuff and finding out I don't like something I've bought.

I rent a big number of TV shows and I got sick of it taking over 2 weeks to finish some larger sets. All my sets have come in order thankfully so I haven't had any problems with seeing things out of order.
