No free shipping at Circuit City?

Don’t want to pay for shipping? We’ve got two easy ways to avoid shipping charges.

1. Buy online and pick up in minutes at one of our 600 store locations. Use our store locator to enter your zip code and check availability at a store near you. In-store pickup is always free for all orders.

2. Spend $25 or more on circuitcity.com, and we’ll ship your order to you free of charge within 7-10 days.*

Screw them!

I guess they figured that Best Buy's new policy made customers so happy that they'd jump in, too.

Well....at least they did not totally do away with free shipping as with Best Buy. $25.00 minimum compares with Amazon and if your time is short as mine is usually....this is not that bad. As with Amazon, I do not believe a $25.00 minimum is asking for too much although it was nice ordering $10.00 movies and having them shipped for free.

I think it will be a sad day if all online stores did away with free shipping. And it would especially hurt if DDD eliminated free shipping on any order. Hope Circuit City's change isn't the beginning of a new trend.

I think BB and CC do away with it because they try to get their customers to come in and hopefully purchase more than they intended to do. They always try to get the customer to come in to their stores. Web stores like Amazon and DDD who don't have stores where you can physically go in, have to keep their customers and offering free shipping of some sort is a way to keep customers loyal.

As stated on circuitcity.com...
Some products may not be available for In-Store Pickup, including CDs, DVDs, DIRECTV items, gift cards, video games, PC games and software.
which finally makes circuitycity.com absolutely worthless for cd & dvd shopping.
