I'm really POed at Best Buy right now with the whole rewards program. they have my account combined with some other guy with the same name. I spend the $ and he is recieving my certs. I have called them 2 times about this already and my info was supposed to be changed by now but the 1st person I spoke with apparently did nothing. so the 2nd person typed in my info but stated it won't change for atleast 10 days. plus, if I want my certs(15.00 so far) I'll have to call back to see if they have been used at the end of next week. this is not looking good since it appears I have another batch of certs about to go out. if they have been used I may be SOL. they said they could as a one time courtesy replace them. good thing I paid 10.00 for this headache.

Not so much unfortunate as... well, *deliberate*.

Has anyone figured out that it is not 3 1/3% discount (down from 4%).

If you add in the $10 to start the RZ program, you will need to spend $160 to get your first $5 credit--a 3.1% rebate.

Sounds like a great program to me!

I just got the letter, and it's even worse when reading it in print : (
The sheer amount of doublespeak that's in it...I hope their RZ membership rolls drop like a rock.

I just wrote a "snail mail" letter to BB to try to get their attention.

I like most of you, took BB to task over their changes in the RZ program.

I wanted to know how their member feedback came to the conclusion that higher purchases were required to get the same rewards: "Are you actually suggesting that members would prefer to spend more to obtain the same certificate."

I can't image them sending me an answer that would make any sense. I even asked for a refund of my $10 renewal.

Best Buy corporate needs to hear that there are a lot of unhappy campers out here and not believe in their own doublespeak!

So if you buy a hard drive for $89.99 that has a $40 rebate, you will only get points for $49.99.

I think this change is worse than the $150 requirement. I renewed my membership at the end of August, but I will try to get a refund for it now considering the policy changes.

That is pretty bad. If they're going to do that, since many rebates are from the manufacturer, they need to allow POP rebate discounts, since there's absolutely no guarantee you'll ever actually get your rebate.
