X-files asian imports
I did a couple searches first and surprisingly didn't find anything on this. Sorry if it's been covered (search here leaves a bit to be desired).
Has anyone ever ordered the asian import X-files season sets from amazon.com?

Edit: ugh. Link doesn't work. You can get to it easily though. Just go to amazon.com, search for DVD/x-files and click on the "new and used from..." link on any of the season sets.
Supposedly brand new for $35-$38. Contents the same as US version with only differences being some asian writing on the disks and packaging.
Will this play in a US dvd player without modification? Are they legit, non-bootleg? Are they really the same as the US versions?
Good prices but I'm skeptical.

Your link doesn't work.
Without seeing it I can pretty much assure you it's a bootleg. These are/were all over Ebay for even less. Some work, some don't. All are boots.

I'm amazed how many people fall for these and how often too.
There is a deal and then there is a deal so "good" that it should make you rethink the deal. These are bootlegs and absolute garbage.

Every person who purchased these imports and took the time to post about them says they are absolute trash. They go from skipping all over the place to not even playing at all. Do yourself a favor and spring for the R1 sets. You should be able to get them for a decent price used on Amazon or even Ebay.
