The code seems to be working right now, as I just placed an order with the 20% dicount.....The discount didn't work for pre-orders though.

Awww, it doesn't work for games, etc... either.

The 20% discount promotion applies only to current DVD releases.
Pre-Orders and non-dvd merchandise are excluded.

We reserve the right to limit quantities. We cannot accept orders for more than 5 units of any item.

Yes, which is insane IMO. As I posted above, I need to call back tomorrow to add it to an order I placed earlier, but they won't let me use it again or add additional things to the order for 20% off. It seems like they REALLY don't want my money all that badly.

Hell yeah, now maybe I can order some of the things I was thinking about. I'm not going to be too happy when I get my CC bill though. But I will have DVDs to comfort me.

On the contrary I just tried placing a second order and it worked.

Damn, I don't know what to buy. Last time I stocked up on Criterions now I'm thinking about only getting a few. What to get? There are so many to choose from. I'd like it if people posted what they bought but I think last time those threads got shutdown.

I have traveled from the future to tell you that this is the last 20% off sale DDD will ever offer.

BTW, buy a boat and stock up on beef jerky.

Seriously, the last sale was about six months ago but that is certainly not a reliable predictor of the wait time for the next sale.

Quick question. It is a one time use code correct? Is it per account or per address or per computer or what?

Reason is there might be more than one person in the house that would want to take advantage of the code. With a different CC but same address.

If that person signs up for their own account and uses a different credit card, I cannot imagine a problem...

Sheesh, I'm glad I have a little self control. It could be very easy to go overboard on this deal. I picked up one box set plus three other titles. I have to resist going back.

A week will seem like a very long time.

Just tell yourself that buying one more DVD doesn't mean you're addicted.

so, can you use the code more than once or do you think all orders beyond the 1st will be cancelled?

You have nothing to lose. Try it a second time and if it's cancelled, you got one order in. Be happy with it.

I am going to wait until Tuesday and hope they knock the price of Reno 911 down to $16.89 to match Best Buy so I can get it for $13.48. I might purchase the Alien Quadrilogy next week too.
