Does Amazon Double-Box DVD Players?
OK. I did a search using "Amazon" and follwed that back a years worth of threads before giving up. I am looking to buy a DVD player from Amazon but want it shipped double-boxed. I called the 1-800 number and the CSR said that it "should" be double-boxed but couldn't guarantee it 100%. So, has anyone bought a DVD player from them? If so, was it double-boxed? I was also thinking that I could just pay the extra $$ and have it gift-wrapped to (I believe) force them to double-box it. Thoughts?

I purchased a Toshiba 3900 from Amazon last year and it was shipped in a single box. I didn't have any problems and the player arrived undamaged.

I bought a Toshiba player from them in October 2001. It arrived in it's original box with my address label on the outside and the invoice on the inside. That was a bit surprising and annoying (I have nosy neighbors) but there was no damage.
