Charade Criterion DVD-How to get the most $$$ for it?
I bought this DVD over a year ago because I knew it was going OOP.
I still haven't opened it because I have never got around to watching it.
However, I know that it is being re-released. I don't really think there is a
good way to be able to just exchange for the new release (I could be wrong), so I am wondering about what the best option would be to earn the most money for the DVD before I purchae the new one?
BTW, how many people will also be upgrading?

From what I have seen the new anamorphic transfer from Criterion didn't look all that great compared to the previous Criterion release. I am upgrading but that's only because I sold my old copy before seeing screenshots of the new transfer. The new transfer looked darker and the colors more washed out. Also it includes the same extras. Unfortunately I was expecting a better effort from Criterion on this one. I would recommend keeping the copy you have.

I wasn't really planning on getting the newer release, and after looking at the screen captures, I'm now SURE I won't be getting it. To me, it appears that the OLD release may actually have the edge.

Here is a review of Charade by DVD Savant. He thought the anamorphic transfer looked better.
