Anyone getting confirmations emails from ddd?
I ordered Alien Quad 3 days ago and got the "we got your order email" but still no second email with order confirmation number.. when I log into my account it shows I have "no open orders"..
I'm just wondering how long people are waiting for their confirmations from deepdiscount.. I know they are probably swamped..

You're not alone.
Up until I read this post, I hadn't noticed that I didn't get a confirmation either for the purchase I made on the 2nd. I just logged into my account and got the same thing - no orders open and none shipped. I'll be giving them a ring tonight. So, thanks for the heads-up!

I'm betting that DDD uses the same computers that they run their website on, to also maintain inventory and run their business. Hence, everything is slow and backed up.
I decided to call DDD today concerning 2 orders which I placed on the 11/26th and the CSR there I told me that 1 of my orders was backordered and the other was "in the packaging stage." Disappointed.
Ironically today USPS delievered both my orders to my doorstep.
Course the website has both orders as "In process"
I guess the moral of the story is, their computers are slow as hell but their employees are working hard to complete timely orders.

Mine shows a ship date of 12/6, with backorders shipping on 12/13. This being DDD, that doesn't mean anything though. The order status on their computer systems have always been buggy for me.

Thanks for everyone's input.. I didn't know if the DDD response time was unusual or not given that they must be swamped, but it seems that it was a little too long to wait for an order #..
I just called DDD.. They said they "don't have a copy of the order".. So I'm going to resubmit..

DVD Talk Ultimate Edition
I placed a 2nd order about an hour ago and never got an email about it. I know it's too early for my order to show up in my list but my first orders email showed up almost instantly. and every other time I placed an order my cc would reflect it immediately as well. nothing at all this time. did my order not go through even though I got the "your order was recieved" page after I placed the order?

I placed an order on 12/5 and received confirmation email on the same date.
My problem with DDD is not with their confirmation email. My problem is that in my previous order, DDD shipping email said they shipped me two copies of a DVD, but I only ordered 1 copy. In the confirmation email, they agreed that I only ordered one copy. But when I receive the DVD in the mail, I only got 1 copy. But now they charged me for 2 copies. I already emailed DDD to get this problem fixed, but so far they haven't done anything yet even though they said just to ignore the problem. I don't want to have to pay for 2 DVD when I only bought and receive 1. Anyone know what to do?

I got 2 confrimation emails today and was only expecting one.
I used the 20% coupon to order Pirates and Alias on DVD. Pirates didn't get the 20% discount properly. I rang to tell them that and that my credit card expiration date needed to be updated.
They decided to cancel the one order and place another on the phone but I guess the cancellation didn't get processed and supposedly both shipped out to me today.
The CSR said he'd mail me a postage paid return sticker so I could send the one "cancelled" order back.
