DVD shipping delays???

I have cancelled my order with Amazon.com for the Grease DVD. It was released yesterday and they have informed me that my order will not ship before Sept. 26! Are they having the same problems DVD Express did years ago? This is unacceptable. What do you all think?

Yeah, what Max said. The original date got bumped a week... but it still stinks that it won't ship until after the 26th.

I've been waiting almost a month for The Cat's Meow from DDD. Every B&M I went to was sold out, and the price is good at DDD so I guess it's worth the wait. Supposedly it shipped and should be here any day now.

i had the same problem with Stargate seasons 1&2 in Canada on the amazon website..Titles that are popular like that should be ordered well in advance...

I think if you cancel a pre-order and then re-order later on you get bumped to the bottom of the list

Amazon shipping dates

I have found that Amazon's estimated shipping dates are not necessarily accurate. My items which include some preorders tend to either ship before or after the estimated shipping date. Rarely on the shipping date.

For example, I ordered the 24 boxset on 9/19 and was given an estimated shipping date of 9/23. It shipped today 9/18.

I just got an email from amazon.ca about a delayed order today.

I placed my order on Sept 2nd and they emailed me today (Sept 19th) and said my order wont be shipped for another 1-2 weeks
