If I cancel an Amazon order, do I get my gift certificate back?

I made a purchase with Amazon yesterday that isn't scheduled to ship out until September 4th. I realize that even with applying a discount coupon, super saver shipping, and a $10 Vividence gift certificate, I can get the items I ordered cheaper elsewhere and save the gift certificate for some other time. If I cancel my order, how does Amazon refund my gift certificate amount? The answer does not appear in their 'Gift Certificates - Rules and Regulations' page and I just want to make sure I'll get it back before I cancel this order.

Yes indeedy.

Just go to YOUR ACCOUNT > VIEW MY GIFT CERTIFICATE BALANCE, and you should see the $10.00 after you cancel.

And if by chance amazon messes up (but really that would NEVER happen) you can e-mail them and they'll add the GC to your account
