Hunt busts his first carry for eight yards!

Then coughs it up.

Yeah, that was demoralizing. Then they go on and on about how he never fumbled in college. That's like the cardinal sin if you're a rookie rb.

Glad to see him get the first carry afterward.

Liked the second effort by Hunt there. He looks good so far!

Nice drive. No-name TD. Nice.

Gillislee riding the pine on my team and because he's a NE back there's no guarantee he'll ever have a game like this again.

Why is Gronk on the bench, anyway?

By going early you can easily street park in the neighborhoods on the NE side of Lombardi Avenue for free and within a couple blocks of the stadium. With it being a late game and looking like the weather should be amazing, the pre-game atmosphere should be terrific. Think of a 20,000 person block party. So go early enough to spend some time taking it in and grab some brats from the stands around the outside of the stadium parking lots. Or do what we sometimes do...wander the tailgate paries making friends and mooching.

Then head inside to enjoy the game in the holiest of holies of football. And don't worry about being visiting fans. Packer fans will sometimes have a little too much fun, but rarely at the expense of the visiting fans...even those accursed Bears fans that occasionally wander north.

Win or lose, you will enjoy yourself and create some great memories. And since it's week one, I don't have to talk about things like bringing cardboard to put under your feet to keep the feeling in your toes.
Appreciate the info, thanks! We'll actually be at the Hilton, so we're on foot for game day! (and we won't be rushed in the morning as we aren't flying until late afternoon)

Looks like Blues Traveler and Everclear are doing a free show Sat night...so we'll check that out and see the Johnsonville Tailgate area.

Let's hope some of these Thurs night games turn out watchable this year....

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

You posted in the Fantasy thread your teams. The only team you have him on is the DVD Free League. You're not a Chiefs fan, so I don't know why you would be pumped about Hunt other than fantasy purposes, which doesn't seem worth it since you're not playing for anything.

I have Tyreek Hill in the DVDTalk free league, but Hunt is in one of my paid leagues. I agree that the stakes are a lot higher in those, but I can still enjoy the Hill TD.

I have seen enough dumb penalties to think no way the Chiefs will win, but they are still keeping it close and just took the lead again.

I can't tell if Hunt is good or if the NE linebackers are just that bad.

I mean I know Alex Smith isn't this good...

I guess this is the end of the Patriots success. Time for a rebuild.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

I was at the Bengals-Chiefs preseason game during the first week of play in August and posted the following to Facebook from the game:

Good thing I listened to me. Hunt's playing for me tonight and has scored 3 times already.

But I'm a little worried that I might've been somewhat responsible for Ware breaking down 2 weeks later. If so, I should prolly start jinxing Steelers right away. Lol.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

I hate the Chiefs with a passion but if a KC victory will stop every NFL announcer with a microphone in his hand from sucking Belichick and the Patriots' dicks regarding a perfect season, I'm all for it.

This is stunning, but I don't feel good with Eric Berry leaving the game.

Re: 2017 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 01

Awesome, stunning win. Pretty much negated by the loss of Berry. Achilles injury - never good news.
I'd have taken an acceptable "L" in Foxborough and a healthy Berry any day. But what great coaching and preparation. The Chiefs looked like reheated shit against the Seahawks a few weeks back.
