Not a fan of polls, but here's a weird metric to see who could cut down the nets at the end.

What a fun game at Rupp.

Much different than a few years ago when I think UCLA had 8 at halftime.

Hope you have the Over in this game. 49 for UCLA at half?

Ball can ball. So impressed. UCLA has very good inside-outside presence. Have the talent. Can Alford get it working in March? He's terrible in March.

Can't get a much better road OOC win than at Rupp.

Zags really impressive so far.

Baylor crushed Xavier.

Melo does the job.

MD survives.

Melo did the job for the Terps. Grind out win.

Melo 26-5 in games decided by 6 and under. Dude is so clutch. Not sure why Terps play to the level of their competition, literally every game is a dogfight.

This ND/Nova game is really good.

So impressed with Nova's 2nd half D....they basically play 7. ND was never in the Bonus. Wish I took the 2nd half Under (78).

Hart with a great game.

Can't see a worse attendance to this Miami deal. G'town is playing La Salle now. If there's 1000 in the building who paid to be there, I'd be surprised.

Re: College Hoops, 2016-17 (through the Conference Tourneys)

Glad I decided to pass on that Duke-UNLV game today. Had work to do. The hated Dukies are currently doubling up the Running Rebs 90-45. Ouch.
My family and I get to watch the Jayhawks treat them similarly in about 10 days.

Speaking of the Jayhawks, they took care of business at home against Nebraska today and in the process ran their record to 171-71 against the Huskers, moving them to an even 100 games over .500 against their long-time former Conference rivals. (I just checked and they're only 98 games over 500 against K-State -- gotta sweep them this year).

Didn't hear about Carlton Bragg getting suspended for battery charges. What a friggin idiot. That's going to hurt the Jayhawks going forward since they're not deep in the frontcourt even with him and Lucas tends to foul a lot.

edit : Grayson Allen had a fairly decent game against UNLV

Sad to see what's happened to UNLV. And the MWC. That's why Coach K scheduled it.

Re: College Hoops, 2016-17 (through the Conference Tourneys)

It is a shame. And the thing is, people still care - deeply - about college basketball here. Folks still talk about that '90 and '91 team and you can tell that loss to Duke still hurts.
And we've had some good prospects from this area recently. Hope we get back to relevance soon. Like I said at the time of the hire, I like Menzies and think he can do a good job. But the cupboard is pretty bare right now.

At least they get to beat up on Incarnate Word (I'm lead to believe that's some sort of an institute of higher learning) later this week before the Jayhawks come to town next week.

Re: College Hoops, 2016-17 (through the Conference Tourneys)

I wasn't even thinking of the Tark teams. I was thinking of the good teams 5-8 years ago. Not a power, but respectable. The whole MWC seems down.

In Vegas, they're ALWAYS thinking of the Tark days.

UCLA is looking good. This team can score. Now can Alford do it in March?

They do it again. Loved the zone switch toward the end of the 1st and broke it open. Ball is great.
