It looks like Higuaín to Juventus is becoming the reality, as they evidently met buy-out and he is scheduled for Juve physical. Just an incredible off-season for Juve. They literally now have zero weak spots. Serie A is over already and they are serious contenders for CL, along with the three La Liga sides.

And eff Higuaín.

Thanks Pharoh

Looking forward to the Celtic/Leicester match today. Part of the Champion's Cup(for whatever that's worth).

Yesterday Dortmund thumped MourinU 4-1

Biggest of all derbies for me today: Notts County and Nottingham Forest. I won't get to see it, but I'm sure we'll get throttled by the boys from south of the Trent.

Yes this thoroughly messed me up when I caught part of the game today.

Juve - if they met the Higuain buyout from Napoli then Pogba is surely gone. Not that it matters to me as I think Pogba is good but not 120 mil good. He has not proven to me that he is worthy to be the most expensive footballer ever.

Interesting--all the first games on the Premier League will be 3 pm Saturday on August 13, 2016. That of course means no local TV in England, unless there is a special exception made for that opening day.

Gio back on track tonight with 3 against DC United. Two of which were free kicks.

Drogba also with the hatty tonight, for the Impact.

Not that this thing means anything, but:

As a result of the Beijing match cancellation, there will not be sufficient matches played in the 2016 International Champions Cup China to achieve a tournament winner.

Correct. And thanks. I have edited the first post to reflect the correct dates and times for the main leagues. Will update Serie A as soon as possible.

Brendan being Brendan!!

Quote:
Brendan Rodgers labelled Celtic’s 1-1 draw against Kazakhstan outfit Astana as an “outstanding result”.

Defender Yuri Logvinenko headed the home side ahead from a corner in the 19th minute of the Champions League third qualifying round at the noisy Astana Arena and the Hoops had to withstand some heavy pressure.

But, in the 78th minute, striker Leigh Griffiths drilled in a shot from the edge of the box to stun the Kazakhstan champions, a fightback that pleased the former Liverpool manager no end ahead of the second leg next week.

Rodgers said: “It was an outstanding result for us. Collectively the mentality was the most pleasing thing.

Typical match vs Chelsea, even with their new guy in charge. They'll still be the most boring team ever.

I hope both Klavan and Grujic are okay. Klavan's looked like out best centre back so far and we're not exactly loaded at that position.
