I'd think that renting a car shows even more signs of premeditation. But this is MA. He could have taken out a full page ad in the Boston Globe announcing his plans to murder someone and he'd still only get life in prison.

A shot of the stellar camcorder that was allowed into the courtroom.

The feed then came through the court's crack Intel 386 processor in all its 1987 glory.

Massachusetts doesn't have the death penalty.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if there's any good reason to shoot someone and go to prison for life, it's because they bad mouthed you at a club.

Hey now, no one talks about my momma that way and gets away with it

All joking aside though, unfortunately probably 90% of all gang-related deaths or what have you are because of stupid stuff like this. Plain and simple, don't disrespect the man or face the consequences. Pathetic

Funny enough, I think I read that one of Lewis' former attorneys is going to be part of his legal team.

re: Aaron Hernandez - Worse Since O.J.? [Update: DEAD]

this is just such a tragedy in so many ways. A young man who had everything loses it all over something so stupid and another young man who by all accounts was a great guy loses his life. Not to mention the fact that Hernandez had a young child(daughter I believe) and this will be with her for the rest of her life. Just awful.

re: Aaron Hernandez - Worse Since O.J.? [Update: DEAD]

On one hand, I can't really blame Hernandez for all of this. It seems that Lloyd was talking shit about Hernandez behind his back and that is what set him off. You can't just let a semi-pro football player clown you like that.

When keeping it real goes wrong.

The hits keep on coming for Mr. Hernandez. From a TV reporter from Boston

re: Aaron Hernandez - Worse Since O.J.? [Update: DEAD]

Based on the evidence I've read about, the case is circumstantial but pretty solid. I expect one or both of the buddies will flip, especially if Hernandez was the trigger man.

The other guy they arrested in CT yesterday is probably singing like a bird right now. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more charges against Hernandez soon.

New speculation is that Lloyd knew about the 2012 murders and may have been willing to snitch.

That would certainly be better motive than what has been reported.

re: Aaron Hernandez - Worse Since O.J.? [Update: DEAD]

Hernandez likes shooting people in vehicles apparently:

1) While at Florida:
"Hernandez was among four Gator football players questioned in a 2007 shooting incident in Gainesville. According to a Orlando Sentinel report at the time, police said Smith, 28, and Glass, 19, were driving around in traffic about 2:30 a.m. when a man began shooting into their car."

2) Double Homicide, July 2012:
Investigators now believe that Lloyd may have had information about Hernandez's role in the double slaying. Police said the shooter in the July 2012 attack fired numerous times into the car, striking Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado, friends who grew up in Cape Verde, who was in the passenger seat, according to the Boston.com report."

3) Alexander S. Bradley, February 13, 2013
"Initially reported by TMZ.com, Alexander S. Bradley, an acquaintance of Hernandez, filed a lawsuit in South Florida district court on June 13 alleging that, following an argument at a Miami strip club, a gun — possessed illegally by Hernandez — was pointed at Bradley and discharged while the two men were driving from Miami to Palm Beach, Fla."

4) Odin Lloyd, June 17, 2013
"From there, surveillance cameras captured images of what the prosecutor said was Hernandez driving the silver Altima through Boston. As they drove back toward North Attleborough, Hernandez told Lloyd he was upset about what happened at the club and didn't trust him, McCauley said. That was when Lloyd began sending texts to his sister."
