If not, just imagine how active the Off-Season thread is going to get!

Yeah, I think they'll survive and advance. Then get swept by OKC. I'd love to see them at least put up a fight against the Thunder, but right now, I don't see it in them. Plus if Sessions gets burned by Lawson, can you imagine what Westbrook is going to do to him?

If the Lakers somehow lose tonight, I think it's the last time you see Pau and Mike Brown on the Lakers' sideline. And if Orlando is still open to it, maybe the last of Bynum as well.

With Bryant throwing everyone under the bus but World Peace it could be World War in the Lakers organization if they get knocked out in the first round.

The way this season has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if the Nuggets knocked the Lakers out tonight. If that were to happen, you'd think major changes would occur. But with Jim Buss running the show, who the hell knows.

Even if they get by tonight, they have to play a young and well rested Thunder team on Monday, who by the way is probably salivating at the thought of knocking the Lakers out of the playoffs. The next series, if it occurs, might not be pretty.

And, don't forget, they also have a backup point guard who might be close to useless on the floor, but knows better than anyone else in the NBA every potential weakness to exploit on that team.

I was thinking the same thing! If the Lakers lose tonight, I was wondering if they were going to lock the thread

You think with this many Lakers fans posting here they were a #1 seed and on their way to another title???? As long as you grew up in California and rooted for them as a kid that's cool with me, but if you just picked them as a kid cause they were great and didn't grow up there (while having an NBA team in your town), I think thats pretty lame.

I didn't grow up in New York but I am a Knicks fans. John Starks is from my hometown and the Knicks are winners so it was an easy choice.

Yes, it is in the by-laws of each of those states and it specifically says that you are prohibited from following any team.

In Hawaii, we're all Laker fans. They used to have their pre-season camp in Hawaii, so I think I'm allowed to be a fan on a technicality.

I'm curious about your fandom, as I recall you're also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Raiders and Florida Gators. What's your reasoning rooting for those teams.

I had spent quite a bit of my time in the Shriner's hospital in St. Louis as a child so being a fan of the Cardinals was just natural. We try and drive over to st. Louis every summer to catch a game. When I was 14 my mom took me to Oakland and I visited the Alameda County Coliseum to watch the A's play. I became enamored with the mystique of the Raiders despite them being in L.A. at the time. My older brother moved to Florida about the time I was a freshman in high school and he brought me a Gators hat at Christmas and so I started following them. He sort of regrets that now as he went on and studied at FSU about 4 years later and has to now deal with his brother being a Gators fan. Well, he also went on to marry a Gators alum. Also, I was fortunate enough to get to go to the O'Connell's home in Tallahassee for a cookout after we went to watch the UF vs FSU game in '96. How many people can say that? As far as the Knicks go I have to say that I always admired their tenacity against the Bulls during the '90s despite never being able to beat them when Jordan was around. John Starks being from Tulsa gave more fuel to the fire and I have been a fan ever since despite the Knicks never really having a lot of success.

And I'm not even sure some of those guys are ahead of him (Popp is the only obvious one). Of course, Sloan and Jackson just retired.
