I don't know how tongue in cheek this thread is for you real Mets fans but if everything breaks right for the Mets I can see them making a push for the second wild card. Granted a lot has to go right...
The other 4 teams need to perform to the lower end of expectations. Santana needs to make 30 starts. Frank Fransico needs to be a lock down closer. David Wright needs to be "the guy" on offense. Ike Davis and Daniel Murphy need to stay healthy. And Lucas Duda needs to come out of nowhere and be a 30 home run guy. But hey, none of it is out of the realm of possibility. I'm really pulling for the Mets this year.

 Seriously though, it would be good for baseball to see the Mets in the post season. I hope they make it. Everyone loves to root for the underdog. Good luck.
