WTF, why does it say TB has the 58th pick? I thought that was Houston's! I can't find any info on trading back.

Re: The 2012 NFL Draft/Early Declaration Thread

Schwartz just said 17 different ways that you don't draft for need, that what can be a strength one week becomes a weakness the next with injuries, that Broyles is a tough as nails player who will contribute and make the team better when it counts in December and January, that there are other ways such as trades to address specific positions.

He said the latter a couple of times...have to wonder if they are working on something.

at least they are consistent. From stafford to Broyles, every pick has been BPA for them. the problem is they made the same pick last year with Titus Young (which was a steal)...w/ Curry, Trumaine Johnson, the Vandy DB, and Konz there they had to take an equally talented guy at a position of need. had to.

and I can't believe Denver took Osweiler before Cousins. Kirk is the perfect guy to sit behind Peyton and learn...oh well.

LaMicheal James is an interesting pick for the Niners. Gore's kinda getting old. It'll be interesting to see his carries and touches.

Packers are killing it today. Casey Heyward went to GB. Great zone corner. You can't really complain about not having enough pieces for the GB D this year.

Yeah, but they'll all be rookies. So we'll still have an excuse.

colts are going from a 4-3 to a 3-4, so in the draft they go QB-TE-TE..

Fisher stocking up on another CB. Trumaine Johnson goes to the Rams. Poor Sam Bradford.

as much as I hate the Packers, it's a great fit for Worthy, and he's a steal at that spot. if he had stayed for his sr. year he would have been a top 20 pick. He's still maturing so he'll need a year I think...but he's strong as an ox and moves people with force. he'll be very good in GB I think. Happy for him.

Honestly, in this league, the way it's moving toward flag football, I think CB is becoming the 2nd most important position outside QB. I don't think you can have too many good CBs.

Houston up. Sanu, Marvin Jones and Ty Hilton still available. Or they could go CB or OL.

Re: The 2012 NFL Draft/Early Declaration Thread

Bills just drafted a WR that Mayock had a 7th round grade on.

Redskins about to make their first pick in a while.

Oops mispoke. Jags just took a punter with an early 3rd round pick.

The NFL network guys are still laughing at that P pick. Gave great material for Rich Eisen though.
