Re: Barclays Premier League (EPL) 2011-12 Season

Well heck, looking over the qualification methods for both European competitions and at both the EPL standings and the matchups for the Champions League and FA Cup, it appears that all of the current top 8 sides except Everton are guaranteed to be playing somewhere in Europe.

That is correct. Liverpool will be in even if they fall out of that top 8 status (ugh. Better win the FA Cup this weekend to make up for this season)

Meanwhile, Papiss Cisse's goal today may be one of the greatest I've ever seen. Definitely the goal of the season.http://deadspin.com/5907137/papiss-c...-of-the-season

Holy crap!

That club could teach Liverpool a thing or two about "Moneyball".

Cisse was the buy of the season in January.

He picked up right where Ba left off.

Good first half at Wembley, other than the score.

Re: Barclays Premier League (EPL) 2011-12 Season

Can't believe he gave Spearing the start.

And Carroll has been playing fairly good of late and he rewards him w/ the bench.

Kuyt should have been in from the get-go. Everyone on the planet knows he lives for big games.

Maxi deserved to be subbed on, too.

I'm ready for the post-Kenny era to begin.

Doesn't change the fact that your cherry picking results to make it sound like a 4th place team has no chance at home is a tad silly.

They beat Man U 3-0 at home. They had only lost twice at home this season prior to Sunday.

Seems pretty decent to me

The crowd shots in the Man City/QPR game are awesome. Probably not a good idea for some of the Man City fans to wear their Premier League Champions shirts before the game.
