Just checked the scoring summary on that Phils-Cards game and the Phils scored 9 runs with 2 outs in the eight.

Looks like 85-90 wins might take the NL Central this year.

Can the Cardinals just blowup their lousy ass bullpen already. I would rather have some no names come in there than the shitbags they shuffle out to piss games away. The game wasn't a lock by no means but giving up 9 runs the way they did is unacceptable.

Yep no other explanation is possible.

The real shame of this game was another good start by Halladay and he had to be pinch hit for with the the Phils losing 1-0 because the Phils weren't hitting again. I think they only had 3 hits into the seventh.
They had first and second with two outs in the seventh and needed a pinch hitter so out comes Halladay and Gload knocks in a tying run.

I think it was about 20 games ago when the Twins were 16.5 out of first. After tonight, I think it's 7 or 6.5. That's frigging crazy.

It's really hard to hear about Adrian Gonzalez hitting .350 with 15 home runs and a ridiculous 68 RBI when Anthony Rizzo has sub .200 batting average. Yeah, Rizzo drove in the winning run tonight, but he's still a long, long way off from being a legit major leaguer (if he ever gets there).

Great trade. The Padres suck hard while the Red Sox are the best team in baseball - and Gonzo helped them get there!

Right now in San Diego the fans are so disgusted at this minor league charade of a team that if they just folded the franchise hardly anyone would care. Can we trade ownership with the Red Sox instead of players??

No, he wasn't involved but former Mariner Miguel Batista faced 3 batters in the inning and retired none of them.

There has to be better options for the Cards either in the minors or just guys who are just languishing in other teams AAA/Majors roster than some of these guys that are in STL.

SD could get quite a haul if they chose to trade Heath Bell to STL.

Well, I can also bitch that the guy that makes as much money as the rest of the lineup combined also hit into a DP to end the inning.
