Re: 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Hawks fans have to feel like the Rapture hit and they picked "Christian" on the ballot.

WTF has seen this before? Lose 3 games to start a series and then punk-kill the team leading so bad that their fanbase is committing sepuku in the aisles. It's like the Hawks let them play with their toys for awhile and realized that they did not like it and took all their toys back.

The Canucks have a flaw in their basic genetic makeup. And they are throwing up on themselves in front of the world. All Star goalie pulled in consecutive games? Check. Gutless twins playing when it suits them? Check. Team soiling themselves when the temperature mounts? Check.

If he wasn't the #3 spot on shootouts they probably would have been a 4 seed

I love Scott yapping at Torres and Torres skates away as soon as the puck is dropped.

I love how well behaved Vancouver is this period with Scott out on the ice

Re: 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

In college hockey back in the 80s, they used to have "total goals series," where there would be a 2 game series and whoever scored the most total goals won.

I wish this was a total goals series.

Two quick goals for the Sharks early in the 3rd to take a 5-2 lead.

I am all for the Sharks winning. As a Kings fan, I'd root for them over the Ducks, and have several friends that are Sharks fans...

HOWEVER...

Fuck Joe Thorton for that classless gesture after he scored.

Re: 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Well unless the Blackhawks or Kings pull off the miracle comeback, it sounds like it would be Wings-Sharks second round, and I just don't see the Sharks getting past Detroit this time with the way the Wings are playing.

CANUCKS SAY BLACKHAWKS ARE NOT IN THEIR HEADS

VANCOUVER -- No, say the Vancouver Canucks, the Chicago Blackhawks haven't got into their heads after a pair of blowout wins.

All that's needed is some composure and hard work.

It's not like the last two years when Chicago eliminated Vancouver in six-game meltdowns after the Canucks forged leads in their Western Conference semifinals.

"There's ups and downs in the playoffs and the key is we've got to stay composed," netminder Roberto Luongo after being torched for four goals on 12 shots in a 5-0 loss Thursday night.

"We don't want to be caught in these situations, but we've got to take a deep breath here and relax a little bit.

"I think it's a good thing we have a couple of days to regroup as a team.

Chicago has twice stared down elimination after Vancouver took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven conference quarter-final which continues Sunday in Chicago.

Luongo, who was in tears when the Hawks closed them out in 2009, said he's not going to change his game and he feels good about himself.

If you need composure, they are in your heads.

Regardless of what happens in this series - the Canucks' fatal flaw has been exposed for three years now. I'm sure it isn't just the Blackhawks that can do something about it.

Yep. I would enjoy seeing Nashville or Anaheim "not get in their heads."

Notice there wasn't much of this cheap stuff when Vancouver was winning in the first 3 games. They get down a little bit and they get all pissy.

Looked like to me that he was pointing at someone. I assumed it was a Sharks fan or something.

Wow, that game was amazing. The 'Nucks looked like classless assholes out there last night. The Hawks have really come alive. Hope they keep the momentum going!

Philly must be scared of the Sabres. They've called up some goon from the farm.
