The ending of the Als/Argos game was insane.

Re: CFL on NFL Network

And the Ti-Cats still haven't won a playoff game since '01. Not gonna win may games when you turn the ball over five times

Re: CFL on NFL Network

It's too bad the NFL Network doesn't show the playoff games and most likely won't show the Grey Cup either.

Re: CFL on NFL Network

I don't really have a preference. I actually like both the Als and the Riders so just hoping for a good close game today.

Thanks for the reminder. 682 on DirecTV for those who have the sportspack.

I'll root for the Als. Watched them play as the CFL Colts.

Re: CFL on NFL Network

The Alouettes are the CFL's Patriots. They just don't lose. I wish Calvillo the best of luck on his surgery and I'd love to see him come back next season and break all the records. Just not against the Bombers.

My boy (one half of C & N (me and Coach Reed) Kavis will no longer be the 13th man. The Riders are having the same problems Calvillo had when he was going to GC's. They had trouble winning them.

Kavis Reed named Esks head coach

Edmonton Eskimo General Manager Eric Tillman announced on Friday that Kavis Reed has been hired as the 19th Head Coach in the history of the team.

The former Eskimo defensive back has nine years of coaching experience in the CFL. He most recently acted as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

"This is a special day for our organization as we welcome an Eskimo back home." Tillman said in a written release. "Kavis is a bright young man who loves this city and our franchise. I know he has terrific motivational skills, and from a football perspective his coaching experience on offense, defence and special teams will be enormously beneficial as he takes this next step."

Reed led the Bombers' defence to finish first in the league for allowing the fewest net passing yards for the 2010 season. The South Carolina native began his coaching career in 2001 with the Toronto Argonauts, and has worked with many CFL organizations over the years.

As a player, Reed played with the Eskimos from 1995-1999. He ended his career with 205 defensive tackles, and 20 intercpeptions - five of which were returned for touchdowns. He was named a CFL all-star in 1997.

Kavis and his wife Darlene have two children, Tyra and Tarik, and reside in Edmonton full-time.

The Eskimos fired their former head coach Richie Hall on November 12 after the team failed to make the playoffs.
The Edmonton Eskimos are getting a great football mind, one of the hardest workers (he's slept in his office a couple of times) in the CFL and one of the greatest and funniest people you'll ever know.

I'll text him and he'll still be working in his office at 11:00pm and he's been in the office since 6:00am.

I'm going to miss him as a great friend but this is a great thing for him. He gets to be a HC in the city where he lives with his wife and children and is the leader of the team he played for. He deserves this.

C & N 4 life...cause once you're in you never leave! (PM me if you want to know what C & N means)
