NCAA Football: Pick The Dog - Week 10 (Final Week)

Because of the large number of games being played thursday and friday of this next week.. I plan to open up those days.. Also, there are less ranked games on saturday, so I think it works better to have more options for the final week.

that will change around the deadline rules a bit..

if you want to select any thursday games.. you must have that pick in prior to the first game on thursday.
If you want to select any friday game.. you must have your pick in prior to the first game on friday.
and of course, for saturday games.. the normal deadline will continue..

Ive tossed around the idea of having people that want a thursday or friday pick requierd to submit all their picks at the time of the first one.. But i think it will give some more adaptive strategy if you are able to spread out your picks..

so.. you will be able to pick submit your picks 1, 2, or 3 at a time.. just no editing the posts where any official picks were made.. and obviously you can only change picks for games that the deadline hasnt past

Basically.. Each week, you will pick 3 teams ranked in the AP top 25 to lose.
You can pick a game with 2 ranked teams, as long as you are picking the lower ranked team to win.

If the team you picked loses, you will earn (26 - x) points based on their ranking. (example.. you pick #25 fresno state to lose to toledo, if toledo wins, you would earn 1 point (26 - 25).... or you pick #9 Alabama to lose to Arkansas, if Arkansas wins you would earn 17 points (26-9))
If you picked 2 ranked teams, you only earn the different between their rankings. (example, if you picked Florida State to beat Wake Forest and FSU wins the game, you would earn 6 points (24-18)).

There is NO PENALTY for an incorrect pick.

only SATURDAY games will be included.. and all submissions must be posted by 10am est on game day.. Any post that is received OR EDITED after 10am CST on game day, will not be accepted.

The game will run for 10 weeks and all points will be cumulative. If there is a tie at the end, we will use the 11th week to break that tie.

what do you guys think of the idea of opening up thurs and friday games for this one?
If I get too many complaints, I will remove that and go back to the standard saturday only..

if you send me your picks for the entire week.. I oviously will only post the thurs one on thurs, fri one on fri, and sat ones on sat.. so that the rest of the picks stay confidential.

you can submit your picks at any time.. just be sure any picks are made prior to kickoff the first game, on the day of the pick.. otherwise it wont be counted.

Realistically, it's going to come down to you and I. I'm only hoping for a sporting chance to win. Last year, I missed week 1 of the tourney, but then did well enough to slide into 2nd place with one week left. The leader posted his picks early as a courtesy, and he picked the best games (no dummy, he), making me take less desirable games to even have a shot at winning. Such was his right as the leader, and I'm hoping that you'll extend the same courtesy to me this year.

Win or lose, I'm okay with what you do here.

yep.. i have no problem with you change picks up until game time.. obviously excluding changing picks after first game starts of the day of that game (if that sentence made any sense)

unless you mean provide me with 2 sets.. then based on what kal posts, i go with the other.. in which case, that could lead to confusion and issues.. would be better for me if you adaptively changed picks as needed.
