I don't have a hell of a lot of confidence in the Yanks' pen either. Slightly more than the Phillies' pen though.

edit - When I say the Yanks' pen, I'm referring to the non-Mo part of the pen. It's clear that Mo is the best reliever on either team.

Looking on the positive side, at least we tried and made the game interesting. Cliff Lee wasn't as dominating. We can crack your bullpen. Intentionally walk Utley in game 6 and we're set

What's up with Girardi... he's been managing throughout the playoffs to win every game and worry about tomorrow later and it's now twice in the WS where he has brought the "scrubs" in with a 4 run deficit (this time with 2 innings left). You have an off day tomorrow, Marte's been the first lefty out of the pen all series, is one of the few guys not named Rivera pitching well in the bullpen and he brings in Coke who promptly serves up 2 HR's? What's the thinking there? Marte pitching an inning with a day off tomorrow may make him unavailable for Game 6 or 7 somehow?

Hard to say how the 8th inning plays out against Lee with just a 4 run lead instead of 6 runs... but it's still just 4 runs and while Lee was good, the ump had a postage size strike zone and the game wasn't over. I just don't understand the "let's get these guys some time" attitude when the 7th or 8th inning rolls around (or like game 1 with Bruney in the 9th) and the game is still not out of reach. It's a bit different if it's the 3rd or 4th inning where you need to get some innings out of the pen, but Girardi treated it like there was no way the Yanks could score 4 runs in 2 innings (and Lee had thrown enough pitches after 7, where he wasn't likely to finish the game).
