Re: 2009-2010 NHL Regular Season Thread

Boston's gonna enjoy those extra 2 first rounders a lot over the next 2 years - especially when they'll be high picks.

The Leafs deserve what's happening to them. You can't continue to make the same mistakes over and over expecting different results.

And to think the average Leaf ticket is more than double the league average ticket... and they have the highest increase in ticket prices from last year at a 10% jump. All this for a team who's missed the playoffs 4 years in a row - with no signs of breaking that streak.

Boggles the mind how Southern Ontario (ie. Hamilton) still can't get another team. Simply corrupt.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Regular Season Thread

Anyone buy the newly released 10-disc Maple Leaf dvd box set? Why is Darryl Sittlers 6 goal 4 assist game missing? Did Dave Reese( ex-Bruins goalie) pay the NHL not too show it?

Boston has looked really bad to start the season.

Yeah they have. Was surprised to see they went with Rask again in goal again but Thomas hasnt been good at all(as i certainly know from having him in the fantasy league ).Anyway they lost again but hey its early.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Regular Season Thread

I heard on the radio that 3 Canadian teams might get back teams...albiet not the old franchises within the next 5-10 years. Luckily it wouldn't be through expansion but through moving teams from the US back to Canada.

The mayor of Quebec City met with Betman this past weekend to discuss the possibility of getting back an NHL team. Other teams apparently discussed were the Coyotes actually moving back to Winnepeg. Another team in Southern Ontario, most likely Hamilton, will eventually get a team.

Chelios won't give up and is close to signing with the Chicago Wolves. I may go to a game or two just to boo him

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Regular Season Thread

@ the Leafs.

It wouldn't be that big a deal if the team was stocked up with a bunch of youngsters, but they're getting ass-raped with a good deal of veterans as well. To make matters worse, they don't even get rewarded for being so crappy - because they don't have a 1st round pick for the next two drafts.

Wow, what a choke job by the Flames

Up 5-0, Blackhawks tie it up in regulation and win in OT.

That Flames/Hawks game was something else. Probably the craziest game thus far. Hate to be a Flames player next practice.

I believe so too. I think they just want to shut the Canadians up for a while.

Did Toskala give up all 7 goals against the Rangers last night?

Good for him. I hope he keeps up the good work. When you don't give a damn about winning-having Toskala in goal can only help matters.
