No discipline at all on this team
And people act surprised that I'm calling for Shanahan's head

Kinda hard to be dead when the Broncos give you 13 gifts points and 2 fumbles that led to 2 FGs and a dumbass facemask that kept the 2nd TD drive alive.
Enjoy the 2nd half, I can't take any more of this shit!!!

Broncos playing like absolute dogshit heading into the bye week. The AFC West winner is going to back into the playoffs by default it seems.

The Broncos just aren't that good. Their good fortune at the beginning of the season has run out, they never had a good defense, and now their offense is sputtering.

We do an office pool every week and I haven't picked against the Patriots in years, until last nights game.

I thought Cutler was going to tear the Patriots apart. Maybe it was the hurt hand.

Sadly you are right. The defense is awful, that and turnovers will kill you. Still, it might be enough to win the AFC West and back into the playoffs.

After calling the report "total BS" to Peter King earlier in the week, Favre confirmed he had talked to Millen about Packer strategies during his press conference today.

I don't have a problem with a player telling his new team about how to play his old team, but this is something completely different. That jersey retirement ceremony is suddenly a lot further off than it was just a week ago......if it happens at all.

ESPN directs staff not to report Favre-Lions story
October 21, 2008

Sporting News staff reports

After FoxSports reported on Monday that Brett Favre spent more than an hour debriefing the Lions coaching staff about the Packers' offensive strategies, nearly every sports news outlet in America picked up the story -- except ESPN.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel questioned the conspicuous absence of the story on ESPN early Tuesday. Mike Florio, a Sporting News contributor, received an internal memo from ESPN that instructs editors to steer clear of the Favre-Lions story.

The memo, which Florio has posted on his Pro Football Talk website, is written under the header: "DO NOT REPORT....DO NO REPORT....DO NOT REPORT....DO NOT REPORT." It goes on to say: "Yesterday, FoxSports reported that Brett Favre spent 60 to 90 minutes before the Week Two game between the Lions and the Packers educating the Detroit coaching staff regarding the Packers' offensive strategies. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY RELIABLE SOURCES THIS REPORT IS NOT TRUE. We did NOT report it yesterday. Today, the NFL responded to the report, saying even if Favre did this he did not break any league rules. We are NOT reporting it today, because that would mean airing the erroneous report. DO NOT REPORT IT."

Favre will meet with the media for a weekly press conference on Wednesday, where he almost certainly will be asked about the report that he helped the Lions try to beat the Packers.

FoxSports reporter Jay Glazer said Monday on Jim Rome's radio show that he "1,000 percent" backs his story. He said more than one source with the Lions confirmed getting information from Favre about how to stop the Packers' attack.

Glazer also told Rome that Sports Illustrated's Peter King received a text message from Favre saying Glazer's report was "total BS." At that point, King texted Glazer about the story, igniting a feud between the two reporters.
I'm slightly confused because I thought I heard about this story through ESPN (online or SportsCenter). It's also possible I'm mis-remembering.

On the other hand, I like any chance to poke fun at ESPN's expense, so there ya go.
