The two teams in our league that were in the finals were 8-5 teams. The regular season top team was 13-0. It took some luck, skill and coaching to beat the 13-0 team in the playoffs. At some point, you tend to see teams give up when a top team is steamrolling everyone with no chance to catch up. The playoffs at least give you a second chance.

Oh course it does suck if your team dominates the entire season [cough]Pink Marauders[/cough], then gets knocked off by one bad week.

DAve you beat me to it by one day I was going to set this up tonight. The Marauders are back in to avenge there disapointing playoff loss from last year. I see we are going a little more traditional scoring no PPR/PPC like last year.

. That being said most money leagues I've been in have had a regular season champ payout. And also a toilet bowl champ which helped keep people from giving up, they would usually get like half there money back.

I think a 6 team playoff with the top two getting a bye in week 13 is the best playoff system i've participated in. It also makes it more fun as more teams vie for a chance to win and it stays more competitive.
