Kvrdave was the commish in last year's first money league and munchos in the second. Not sure if Dave wants to participate in the money leagues this year or not.

Since we are full in the first league I guess we can go ahead and finalize who will become commissioner. Spicollidriver1 has volunteered to become commissioner of league one. Would anyone else like to throw their hat in the ring? If not I'm all for Spicollidriver1 becoming commish.

Just noticed the draft date was for August 1st. I think I'm going out of town that day for the week. Anyway we can move it to an earlier time on the 1st? Aren't drafts ~2hrs long?

I think (hope) that August 1 was just a placeholder date, as I'm also going to be traveling that day. Personally, I'd prefer later in the month, but the negotiation sessions haven't started yet AFAIK.

I know it was already listed as a placeholder because a date HAD to be set, but I'll be out of town that weekend (and another one or two in August), so mid-week or the following weekend (7th & 8th) would be great. But, unfortunately, I seem to miss many drafts, particularly football, so I'll be happy to pre-rank too.

Yes flagstone is correct, I just set August 1st as a placeholder. Once everyone has joined the league we can begin to discuss which dates/times work best for everyone for the draft. I too would prefer mid to late August.

See post 270 on the previous page. We got the first league going since we already had 12 join. Once you're in, I'll transfer commissioner powers to you.

We already have a list going for money league 2 as well.

Ok I am in. Right now the only question I have rule changes is picking guys up on sunday and monday. I know some leagues have it so you can't pick anyone up until tuesday to keep from the transaction vultures picking guys up the second someone gets hurt.

Sorry about that, I misread it as we were restarting last year's league up again. I'm in the updated league now though.

Also, I agree with Spicolli x100000000 about changing the pickups until Tuesday. Half the day was spent watching the waiver wire if I was around to watch live.

If the 1st is a placeholder, then I also agree that it should be closer to season with a couple of preseason games played. Who wants to draft a player and then have that player blow out his knee in the first preseason game?

Whatever draft date is finally picked, the date should be set within the next couple of weeks since reserving a slot to draft the league in the middle to end of august fills up pretty quickly.

Live Stattracker for free is pretty sweet. I guess it's just part of the game now and you don't have to sign up for that seperately like in the past when you had to pay for it.
