What do you think? I like it, but it depends on how the uniforms look as well.

CSC Corporate Domains, an offshoot of Corporation Service Company, describes itself as a domain name management company for corporations, law firms and intellectual property professionals. It is the registrar of record for nba.com and all other domains managed by NBA Media Ventures, LLC.

Over the course of the past two weeks, KOCO.com and SportsXtra have worked together to research what's called whois information on more than 200 domain names, with the focus primarily on possible nicknames such as Barons, Outlaws and Thunder. Most domain names and variations of them had been registered well before the settlement between the city of Seattle and the former Seattle Supersonics of the NBA.

Most of these domain names had been registered by individuals, people who either register domain names in quantity for the purpose of selling them or those interested in owning a piece of Oklahoma sports history on the Web.

If he played basketball on an opposing team, it would make sense. Kinda like if the Mets named their new stadium "The Place Specifically Designed So That Chipper Jones Hits a Homerun in Every At-Bat (sponsored by Citi)". Think about the pressure on him everytime he came to bat.

If I owned the Mets, there'd be a giant target in center that said something like "Larry, hit it here!" Every at bat there'd be huge pressure for him to hit it out there, and it would mess him up.

Then, just randomly during one game, I'd get all the fans to, instead of booing him when he came to bat, just start cheering "Chipper! Chipper!", and there'd be a centerfield jumbotron image of how good he is, and his walk up music would play. It would throw him off during that at bat, as he'd be trying to figure out what was going on.

Why don't more teams mess with the opposition like that?

I've got another good one. If I owned the Mets, for his first game in the new stadium, I'd hand out Chipper Jones masks. And right before his first at bat, I'd have the entire stadium put them on (including players) and get dead silent.

It'd be creepy as hell. I guarantee he wouldn't get on base.

If I owned a professional sports team, I'd be all about doing cheesy and classless things to psych out the opposition. For instance, I'd name my OKC team the OKC Kobe Bryant. That way, when the team loses, the stats would would "Kobe Bryant lost" and when he played against my team, his scoring for the lakers would hurt Kobe Bryant.
