Woohoo!!

Wake tonight (we've got tix for Sunday, so it's pretty much guaranteed we won't have to sit thru another live outing by Flutter Boy).

Pretty good article on Yahoo sports about how long these games have been going recently:

Quote:
The two teams inflating the average are, no surprise, the Boston Red Sox (3:06) and New York Yankees (3:03). They are both patient teams that draw plenty of walks, yes, but they also appear more on nationally televised games than any other team, and those games come with 2-minute, 25-second commercials between innings instead of the standard 2-minute, 5-second variety. Thatís six minutes a game in pure capitalism.

Nice - ChiSox come from behind and hold onto the lead in a close one. 6-3 vs. Cleveland so far this year - not too bad.

I love how the Dbacks keep losing and the Dodgers do too.

Oversaturation for us. We saw him live several times last year, and this year he had that stretch when he was on 3 out of 4 of the Sox national TV games. Plus, we just saw him last month in Tampa. I just need some variety, and really want to see Lester or Beckett or especially Colon.....

Rays fans don't believe their team can keep it up. The past proves why, but good grief Tampa for the time being they are in first place and got a great set of guys playing, so get out and see them!!!!

Despite being off to the best start in franchise history and beginning the day tied with the Chicago Cubs for the best record in major leagues, Tampa Bay drew an announced crowd of 10,927.

The first two games of the series drew 12,174 and 10,511, and the Rays are last in the AL with an average of 17,938, third-lowest in the majors

The last couple of times I've gone to Fenway I've actually seen Lester, I did catch Dice-K's first CG last season between those though, but it always seems to be Lester when I go.

Ah tired of seeing him - makes sense. I swear I saw Matt Clement pitch every home game one year during the summer. It does get annoying

Is there anything in this Braves vs. Brewers game that isn't a strike? This is ridiculous. This Mark Wegner guy needs to be suspended. Demanding a pitcher throw a pitch while the batter is composing himself just so you can show him up in front of the crowd? Add this fuckface to the list of umpires who thinks he's more important than the game.

Here's a picture of this piece of shit:

Yeah, that was ridiculous, he needs to be evaluated by MLB. I've never liked that little douche bag anyway. Even worse, the Braves suck. they continue to lose on the road. They have spoiled two good pitching efforts by Hudson & Reyes.

Great comeback by the Twins, down 8-3 going into the 9th. I kinda feel bad for the Royals.

My Twins had a 5-run rally in the top of the 9th with two outs against the fading KC Royals, to win the game 9-8 in the top of the 10th with Justin Morneau hitting a home run off the first pitch! What a comeback!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda don't.

Jesse Crain has recorded four outs in two nights = two wins.

Awesome comeback last night.

Yeah, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but that was a pretty sucky game for their fans.

That Crain stat is pretty funny. The offense is starting to come together a little more, if Lamb can continue to improve I think things are really looking up.

Negative, the fuckface here is Brian McCann, he was the one showing up the umpire. Because he is a catcher he should know better not to show up the umpire, he needs to adjust to the umpire not the other way around. McCann was warned a good five times to get in the box and he wouldn't do it. Bobby Cox knew his player was in the wrong because he wasn't really arguing the ump's decision to let Suppan pitch without McCann in the batter's box.
