i think alot of their talent is signed through 2009.. i posted a link in one of the threads to the contract status of the ray's players.. but dont remember where

they have the 2nd lowest payroll in baseball.. unless that comes up significantly.. they might hang around next year, but i would expect a huge drop off the following.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right to me. Especially if it isn't just tied to the AL pennant, but can grow with a WS win.

I knew that sounded steep. ESPN radio was reporting this morning that the Mirage's odds for Tampa Bay to win the World Series at the start of the season were at 80:1.

at ticket prices for game 1 on stubhub. I can't believe you can go to a WS game for under $200.

I read sunday night's game scalpers couldnt give away tix because the buccs were having a night game and honoring mike alstott at half time. There were literally free tickets to be had.

Yeah, I have a hard time rooting for them, since their fans don't really seem to care very much, at least not willing to drive up demand etc.

I had several calls from people looking for me to buy tickets from them at face value. $30. I did already go to ALCS game 1 and I had a really bad feeling about game 7, so I passed. Plus they called me like one hour before game time and I never would have made it down in time from where I live.
