I mean, bad enough that the Rays took 2 out of 3...but those fuckers took out Phillips too.

Giambi hasn't done shit since he's been playing first. Sure, he's pulled off some good fielding, but he's in there for his fucking BAT. Not only that, but Betemit can't play first - something he demonstrated Sunday, when he missed Pettitte's pick-off attempt. Mientkiewicz is now back, and while he can field, Andy's bat was stronger.

Boy, am I glad they let Miguel Cairo go back to the Cardinals.

Let's hope the Yankees start playing every team like they have this

on their hat...

I was just going thru the hard drive trying to find pictures that the boys need for the first day of school tomorrow, when I happened upon the 250-odd pics I took at the Buchholz/Clemens matchup in Trenton. It hit me that in only a few months, not years, those are much more noteworthy for the Buchholz content than they are for the Clemens content. Glad I snagged about 50 sets of the programs/lineup cards from that game, too.......

Cards pull even with Cubs in the loss column. Going to come down to who's gonna play better on the road. The Cubs play 16 of their final 25 games on the road where they're a game above .500. The Brewers play 13 of their final 24 on the road and they've been a horrible road team. The Cards have 14 of their remaining 27 away from Busch. I believe St. Louis has their fate squarely in their own hands since they have head to head matchups with both Milwaukee and Chicago in the last few weeks.

At our current pace, if we come back and win the division you'd almost think Ankiel would at least get a token MVP vote or 2. Wouldn't that be something?
