Do they have a list for the entire top ten or everyone who recieved votes yet? ESPN only showed the top five and said Ivan Rodriguez was in 10th place.

Vlad had a monster season but this is still a joke. Everything I saw on tv said that Manny deserved it, Manny was gonna get it...then this.

Oh give me a break. How in the world can you think this is pathetic? I have no problems with people that think Manny should have won, but in aboslutely no way could he even be considered a lock. Their numbers are similar, and Vlad is better defensively then Sheffield, Ramirez, or Ortiz (which is non existant). This isn't like the NL, where Bonds is noticably better then his competitors.

Vlad - .337 AVG, 39 HR, 126 RBI, 124 R, .989 OPS

Manny - .308, 43 HR, 130 RBI, 108 R, 1.009 OPS

Sheff - .290, 36 HR, 121 RBI, 117 R, .927 OPS

Ortiz - .301, 41 HR, 139 RBI, 94 R, .983 OPS

Numbers wise, all 4 men are pretty close. Manny and Ortiz undergo the same critique for me as the Cardinals players... i don't see multiple players on the same team being "most valuable." If you want to go intangibles, and say Manny or even Sheffield and Ortiz came up with a bunch of clutch hits, Vlad's September numbers are just as, if not more impressive. Arguments can be made, but pathetic? No way in hell.

Calm down from what? Not like i'm whining about a vocal minority that knows nothing about baseball

I'm just curious how anyone can think Manny was a lock over the other players, or can think that Vlad somehow didn't deserve it. The numbers seem too close to me to be considered a lock. And taking a page from the Bonds argument, Manny had a better lineup around him. There's more to it then just those 3 categories, i mean Beltre topped Bonds in two of them

Yeah, but he's barely ahead in the big three. And the defense or baserunner don't play in Ramirez's favor. Kinda sad that he lost to Sheffield too though.

Well that's simply not true, A-Rod and Jeter did plenty. Matsui was good, but IFs and IFs who can steal bases are generally more valuable than corner OFs. Matsui hit very well, but he didn't do "much more"

I can see why Vlad won, but Sheffield getting 2nd is ridiculous. And DH or not, leaving Ortiz off the ballot completely is a disgrace.
